The “Debate and Education Institute” is dedicated to fostering critical thinking, argumentation, and communication skills among young people through formal debate training. For many years, the organization has collaborated with international and local educational institutions, actively working to integrate debate into general, vocational, and higher education.
The project, titled “Debates for Better Vocational Education,” is supported by the Gudavadze-Patarkatsishvili Foundation and is a collaborative effort with the Ministry of Education, Science, and Youth of Georgia. Its primary goal is to embed debate education within vocational and general education systems. This initiative aims to enhance the general knowledge of young people and equip them with the critical thinking and professional skills necessary for their future careers.
As part of the project, a teacher training program has been launched in vocational schools and general education schools with integrated curricula. The program focuses on debate techniques and club management, with the objective of establishing debate clubs within these institutions and integrating debate methodologies into various academic subjects.
